I fell in love with Lauren Williams circle tapestries but I couldn’t afford her custom pieces, so I got to daydreaming and thought- why can’t I make my own?? Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right?
I searched for a tutorial and found nothing so I just made it up as I went. Here’s my tutorial of how I made my tapestries. This is a messy and time intensive project but it was really fun. I created several different versions; one is round, one is angled and the other is a simple square. Pick your design and get to work, (wo)man!

Maintaining an RV roof can seem daunting. But I’m here to tell you that you don’t need to be afraid! You don’t need to go out and spend thousands of dollars for someone else to reseal your roof. It takes one day and little bit of elbow grease and you can save yourself some major $$$.
Painting your counter tops is a great way to cheaply and quickly fix up your existing counter tops. I’ve used the Giani white diamond counter top kit for 3 different projects.
Chalk paint has been my saving grace. I can make it home in 5 minutes. It can be tinted it to my liking and its so unforgiving. It is my go-to when painting cabinets for a quick, cheap updated look. I’ve used chalk paint in all of our homes thus far, even the motorhome! There has been one project where the chalk paint wasn’t the best choice and I’ll go more in depth on that below. If you want to know how to make it, use it and love it, keep reading!
I just want to start by saying that we absolutely loved our Ikea kitchen and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I love how big, efficient and smooth the drawers are and I love the flexibility in cabinet finishes. They’re great for the price and easy enough to assemble, you could probably do it alone. I could go on for days about this whole process so if you see anything you want more in depth information or want to clarify just reach out, I’m happy to help! Here’s a review of our entire Ikea kitchen process from planning to ordering, pickup and assembly. It can be overwhelming picking out floors for your home, especially if you have little furchildren. Should you use tile, hardwood, engineered hardwood, vinyl, laminate or carpet? This is a hard question to answer and has many moving parts; what kind of dogs do you have, what look are you going for, what area of the house is this in, what kind of climate do you live in. But don't worry I'm going to talk a little bit about each of these to give you my opinion of using hardwood floors with pets (or children, they're basically the same right?)
As you may know, in Florida they don't build homes on basements or crawl spaces but instead they just pour a giant concrete slab. If you're trying to take out a wall with electrical running through it to an island then you'll need to remove the wall and create an electrical trench in the slab. Here's our story of renovation woes...
